Why milestone cards help

Progress after a breakup is easy to forget when a wave hits. A milestone card turns the invisible work into something you can see: the day you did not text, the week you protected, the month you made it through.

Good milestones to save

  • Day 1: you started tracking instead of reaching out.
  • Day 7: you made it through the first week.
  • Day 30: you can start noticing patterns.
  • Day 100: the relationship can be part of the story without being the whole story.

What to write on the card

Keep it short and honest. Try: "I did not text them today." Or: "I can miss them and still choose distance." If the urge is strong, use the SOS pause before making a card.
